SciFi ScrapperHello! My name Emma (aka SciFi Scrapper), a keen traveller and photographer who resides in the South East of England.

Though I’ve kept ‘memorabilia journals’ for over a decade, I consider myself fairly new to memory keeping. I had never though of what I was doing during this time as ‘scrapbooking’, rather just sticking tickets in books to look back on later. I now know this was scrapbooking of course, but the way the brain decides to categorise things is a difficult thing to shake sometimes!

I truly stumbled into the eye opening word of scrapbooking after the London 2012 Olympics. It was a once in a lifetime event and I was determined to make the most of it, seeing and doing everything related to it that I could. It still stands out as one of the best summers I’ve ever had. After the Olympics were over I was left with a mountain of photos, tickets, leaflets, commemorative coins, bunting(!) and much, much more. I decided to hop onto YouTube and see if anyone had made any albums for their photos, little did I know what I was getting myself into! One minute I was looking at shares of sports mini-albums, the next I was watching process videos of people creating layouts. I’m sure you can imagine what happened after that – My room got taken over with craft supplies, I started about a dozen projects, and I have yet to start that Olympics album because I’m creating so many other things!

I hope you’ll join me on my journey as I document memories and share my process.
